| Purpose: |
The careline provides carers with a friendly, supportive 'listening ear' when using the telephone helpline. Provides carers with befriending, emotional support and telephone counselling. Provide carers with information on all aspects of care giving, specialist support services in their locality. All callers and carers are also given access to a drop in facility where carers can meet with Helpline staff for a chat.

Monthly support groups for carers where carers meet one another for support and to share their feelings. There are different groups for different needs during the caring role. Also held Thursdays 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. a drop in for carers at Turnbull Day Hospital in St Davids Hospital, Canton, Cardiff.
